Monthly Community Conversations
Members and guests gather together monthly, typically on the 1st Thursday at 9:30am (except for the Summer months), to discuss CVMA program updates, issues, and ideas that could benefit our community.

Good Neighbor Fund
We assemble and distribute resources to neighbors in our community who have critical needs in housing, healthcare, clothing, transportation, or sustenance.

When important issues arise, we combine our perspectives into statements and actions intended to change systems and improve people's lives.
Interfaith Thanksgiving Worship
Each year, on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, we gather a diverse collection of clergy to lead us in an Interfaith Thanksgiving Worship service.

Good Neighbor House
CVMA is organizing to compel our community to launch a year-round emergency homeless shelter in Chestertown, MD. The task force is assembled, and the vision is congealing. We hope to open in 2023.

Our vision is coming together and needs your help! The Vision document is open to share with anyone, and ope for comments. The top three priorities today are:
- Securing a location
- Finding a Director
- Raising sufficient funding
We have currently raised $9,500 (Sep 2023) toward our three-year launch goal of $323,000
